How many stars are there in the Universe?

Scientists and astronomers have estimated that there are more than a hundred billion stars in our own galaxy (Milky Way Galaxy) alone. With this, they have multiplied it with the estimated number of galaxies in the Universe which they have guessed to also be a hundred billion in totality. The result is a rough estimate of 10 billion trillion existing stars in the Universe. Some astronomers estimated all the stars in the Universe to be 70 sextillion or 7 followed by 22 zeros. Take note that all of these calculations are mere estimates even though powerful telescopes have already invented and used by our modern astronomers and star gazers. The calculation of the stars in the Milky Way alone is a mere estimate. How much more our calculations of stars in the whole Universe, where the number of galaxies which contains numerous stars, are also roughly estimated? Read more
