How many angels are there in Heaven?

The angels of God are countless. Even the groups of God’s angels are innumerable. Hence, we can really say that they are inestimable.

Hebrews 12:22 (NKJV)
But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels,

These angels guard every person who fears God and keeps on obeying Him.

Psalm 34:7 (NKJV)
The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them.

Psalm 91:9-11 (NKJV)
Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways.

Matthew 18:10 (NKJV)
“Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven.

In the end of days, in heaven, the holy angels will fight and defeat the devil and his angels and will cast them out to the Earth.

Revelation 12:7-9 (NKJV)
And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

  • Note and Disclaimer: We usually use the New International Version (NIV) and New King James Version (NKJV) versions of the Bible. However, we also recommend our readers to do their own research and use other reliable translations, for them, to be able to discern what is fully accurate and truthful from what is not.

i dont remember where it is but my pastor said something that the bible indicates there are 7 guardian angels for every man on earth if thats the case you take 6 billion times by 7 and you get 42 billion angels thats not counting the third of angels lucifer took with him which if you do the math 1/3 would indicate there are 2\3ds of the angels still in heaven you take 42 bil devide that by 2 that is 21 billion you add that to 42 and that is 63 billion angels but thats just an estimate since there are 7 guarding angels for every man you got to think there are countless others still in heaven doing nothing but worshiping god there for an actual estimate wouldnt be logical so lets just say there are roughly 42 billion guardian angels and who knows that estimate could be short since god might have meant 7 angels for every man in existance would would indacate there are more then 42 billion guardian angels

Thanks Randell for dropping by here. I would be glad if you can share with us the exact passage written in the Holy Scriptures about his basis on that estimation of his own.
