How to avoid or remove a curse?

To avoid curse from God, we must be consistently obedient of His commandments and avoid committing sins.

Deuteronomy 11:26-28 (New King James Version)
“Behold, I set before you today a blessing and a curse: the blessing, if you obey the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you today; and the curse, if you do not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside from the way which I command you today, to go after other gods which you have not known.

Malachi 2:2 (New King James Version)
If you will not hear, And if you will not take it to heart, To give glory to My name,” Says the LORD of hosts, “ I will send a curse upon you, And I will curse your blessings. Yes, I have cursed them already, Because you do not take it to heart.

Daniel 9:11 (New King James Version)
Yes, all Israel has transgressed Your law, and has departed so as not to obey Your voice; therefore the curse and the oath written in the Law of Moses the servant of God have been poured out on us, because we have sinned against Him.

We must be kind and generous to the poor.

Proverbs 28:27 (New King James Version)
He who gives to the poor will not lack, But he who hides his eyes will have many curses.

We must avoid wickedness.

Proverbs 3:33 (New King James Version)
The curse of the LORD is on the house of the wicked, But He blesses the home of the just.

We must avoid selfishness. Rather, we must practice care and kindness.

Proverbs 11:26 (New King James Version)
The people will curse him who withholds grain, But blessing will be on the head of him who sells it.

We must please God and not provoke Him.

Jeremiah 44:8 (New King James Version)
in that you provoke Me to wrath with the works of your hands, burning incense to other gods in the land of Egypt where you have gone to dwell, that you may cut yourselves off and be a curse and a reproach among all the nations of the earth?

Jeremiah 44:22 (New King James Version)
So the LORD could no longer bear it, because of the evil of your doings and because of the abominations which you committed. Therefore your land is a desolation, an astonishment, a curse, and without an inhabitant, as it is this day.

We must be righteous and become people of God whom He loves. This is because no one can harm or can curse (by sorcery, magic, et cetera) a person who is loved by God. Therefore we must fear Him and obey His commandments. And again, we must constantly please God and not provoke Him.

Deuteronomy 23:5 (New King James Version)
Nevertheless the LORD your God would not listen to Balaam, but the LORD your God turned the curse into a blessing for you, because the LORD your God loves you.

Numbers 23:8 (New King James Version)
“How shall I curse whom God has not cursed? And how shall I denounce whom the LORD has not denounced?

Nehemiah 13:1-2 (New King James Version)
On that day they read from the Book of Moses in the hearing of the people, and in it was found written that no Ammonite or Moabite should ever come into the assembly of God, because they had not met the children of Israel with bread and water, but hired Balaam against them to curse them. However, our God turned the curse into a blessing.

Genesis 12:3 (New King James Version)
I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

Proverbs 26:2 (New King James Version)
Like a flitting sparrow, like a flying swallow, So a curse without cause shall not alight.
