How to become a healthy and avoid illness?
Health is essential to every man’s life. It is our breath of life that helps us produce our things. Without it, we lose strength and become unfruitful. Hence, we should keep ourselves healthy. Illness attacks everyone, young or old, rich or poor. No one is exempted. Some of diseases can be cured by our medicines, but some are not. Therefore, when it comes to seeking for certain good health and avoiding sickness, we go to the Almighty One. The following are insights and verses from the Holy Scriptures that guides us how to achieve a healthy life:
God promises health to the one who respect and fear Him and obey His commandments. By following His commandments, which are attributes of self-control and discipline, we can be assured that our body will have good health.
Proverbs 3:7-8 (NKJV)
Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones.
That is why we must pray to God and have faith in the Lord. We all know that a healthy soul brings a healthy body.
3 John 1:2 (NKJV)
Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

We must depart from anger, sadness, wickedness and sins. In other words, we must be gentle, calm and know how to relax. We must also be joyful and thankful. We must avoid wickedness and sins, which include the sins of gluttony, drunkenness, sexual immorality, laziness and the likes.
