How to have security in life?
To secure ourselves, we must listen to God and follow His Words and commandments.
Proverbs 1:33 (NIV)
but whoever listens to me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm.”
Psalm 119:142-143 (NIV)
Your righteousness is everlasting and your law is true. Trouble and distress have come upon me, but your commands are my delight.
Isaiah 39:8 (NIV)
“The word of the LORD you have spoken is good,” Hezekiah replied. For he thought, “There will be peace and security in my lifetime.”
We must pray to God and give our love to Him.
Psalm 122:6-7 (NIV)
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May those who love you be secure. May there be peace within your walls and security within your citadels.”
We must love Him with all our hearts, and work out this love. We must be just and righteous and. We must put away injustice and wickedness – so that we may avoid shame and gain security.
Job 11:13-18 (NIV)
“Yet if you devote your heart to him and stretch out your hands to him, if you put away the sin that is in your hand and allow no evil to dwell in your tent, then you will lift up your face without shame; you will stand firm and without fear.
You will surely forget your trouble, recalling it only as waters gone by. Life will be brighter than noonday, and darkness will become like morning. You will be secure, because there is hope; you will look about you and take your rest in safety. And you would be secure, because there is hope; Yes, you would dig around you, and take your rest in safety.
For God brings security to us.
Jeremiah 33:6 (NIV)
” ‘Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security.
Ezekiel 34:25-27 (NIV)
” ‘I will make a covenant of peace with them and rid the land of wild beasts so that they may live in the desert and sleep in the forests in safety. I will bless them and the places surrounding my hill. I will send down showers in season; there will be showers of blessing. The trees of the field will yield their fruit and the ground will yield its crops; the people will be secure in their land. They will know that I am the LORD, when I break the bars of their yoke and rescue them from the hands of those who enslaved them.
Finally, God’s commandments teach us integrity. Integrity makes us truthful and reliable. It instructs us to be honest and true to our promises. It keeps us away from lying and deceiving people. It also avoids blames, punishments and penalties. It gives us security.
Proverbs 10:9 (NIV)
The man of integrity walks securely, but he who takes crooked paths will be found out.
