How to Have Wisdom from God?

How to have wisdom from God?

To have wisdom that comes from God, we need to ask it from God.

James 1:5
If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.

Ephesians 1:17
I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.

And when we ask, we must ask faithfully and with no doubt.

James 1:6-7
But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; 8he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.

We must fear God and obey His commandments.

Psalm 111:10
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise.

Proverb 9:10
“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

Job 28:28
And he said to man, ‘The fear of the Lord—that is wisdom, and to shun evil is understanding.’”

We must please God.

Ecclesiastes 2:26
To the man who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness, but to the sinner he gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth to hand it over to the one who pleases God. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.

We must fully know, constantly believe and accept the words of Christ, in whom treasures of wisdom are hidden.

Colossians 2:2-3
My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Colossians 3:16
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.

We must read the Bible – the Holy Sciptures

2 Timothy 3:15
“and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.”

We must be attentive to wisdom.

Proverbs 2:2
“turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding,”

Finally, we must have wisdom, embrace it and love it, for it is a commandment of God.

Proverbs 4:5-7
Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget my words or swerve from them.  Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you. Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding.
